Our Namibia

Namibia, a country in southern Africa, is distinguished by the Namib Desert along the Atlantic Ocean coast. The country is home to diverse wildlife, including a significant cheetah population. Namibia is a vast country, its surface area is 824 268 km2. Namibia borders Angola & Zambia in the north, South Africa in the south and south-east, Botswana in the east and Zimbabwe at the eastern extremity of Caprivi the curiously-shaped panhandle consisting of water-rich riverine swamplands. Namibia is one of the last African countries gained independence in 1990 with a population of 2.3 million according to the last census in 2013.

About us

Being a student of maritime at the University of Szczecin, in 1995 I went on a ship called Lepus that was going to Namibia.

Lepus was the place where I first met my wife who was among a crew of fishing inspectors with the ministry of fisheries in Namibia to supervise and control the fishing process at the coastal towns of this country.

Thus where our love began. Although Lepus was later scrapped in India our loves lasts up to this day. We stayed a little while in Namibia and sometimes in Poland but we finally made a decision to settle in Namibia. For sure this decision was influenced and done with the great importance of this beautiful country with marvellous landscape which made us fell in love with this exotic land 'nature and wildlife. Now we want to share with you our passion which is to discover & explore Namibia & we hope that our passion will soon become your passion.

To fulfil our passion and dreams we created Bocian Safaris which is designed to help focus your planning and ensure that you best use your time to provide a unique and exceptional experience. It took us time and effort to make Bocian Safaris a reality and get it registered with the necessary documentation & certificates which are necessary for inspection. We hope this will help gain creditability to our business.
